The Story

In 1975, Girard-Perregaux introduced the Laureato, pioneering the luxury integrated sports watch era with its revolutionary octagonal bezel resting atop a circular plinth. In 2016, to commemorate the manufacture’s monumental 225th Anniversary (1791–2016), Girard-Perregaux revived this iconic silhouette in a strictly restricted run of only 225 pieces worldwide per dial configuration. Reference 81000-11-131-11A is the exact reference that spearheaded the rebirth of the modern Laureato collection. Featuring the distinctive 41mm anniversary case proportions and a pristine silver-white hobnail dial, this limited edition holds an irreplaceable place in the history of the Maison.

The Craft: 41mm Anniversary Architecture & In-House Calibre GP03300

The 41mm stainless steel case features refined proportions with an ultra-slender thickness of just 10.10mm. The case displays an intricate interplay of surface finishes—from the circular satin brushing of the octagonal bezel and polished edge chamfers to the fluid integration of the H-link steel bracelet.

The silver-white dial is adorned with a delicate "Clous de Paris" (hobnail) pyramid texture that catches and disperses light dynamically. It features applied baton hour markers and baton hands filled with Super-LumiNova and outlined with subtle blue detailing, balanced by a clean date aperture at 3 o'clock.

Visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback is the Manufacture Girard-Perregaux Calibre GP03300-0030. Composed of 218 hand-finished components and 27 jewels, this ultra-thin automatic movement operates at 28,800 vph with an approximate 46-hour power reserve. The movement is embellished with circular Côtes de Genève on the bridges, circular graining on the mainplate, heat-blued screws, and a dedicated oscillating weight. The screw-down caseback ensures a dependable water resistance rating of 30 meters (100 feet).
