Physicians are trained to inspect methodically, document precisely, and never assume. We apply the same diagnostic approach to every timepiece before it enters the collection.

Every watch we list is a single example. It is authenticated, condition-graded, and documented piece by piece. No watch goes live until it has passed the full examination below.

What we examine

Movement

The calibre is inspected for authenticity, service history and running condition. We verify timekeeping, power reserve, and complications, and pressure-test water resistance where applicable.

Case and bracelet

We check the originality of every component, look for signs of polishing, and document wear honestly. If a piece has been polished, we say so. If hardware has been replaced, we say so.

Dial and hands

Examined under magnification for originality, condition and consistency with the reference. Aged dials are shown as they are, never retouched in photography to hide their history.

Provenance

Papers, service records and ownership history are verified and disclosed as found. The product page lists exactly what accompanies each watch: original box, papers, service receipts, warranty cards. If something is not mentioned, it is not included.

How we grade

We grade honestly. Listings call out polish history, scratches, service marks, and anything else that affects how a watch looks and runs in person. We would rather you know everything upfront than be surprised when the box arrives.
