Reference 4000E/000A-B439 houses the Maison's signature Complete Calendar (Triple Calendar with Moon Phase) complication within a versatile, understated 40mm stainless steel silhouette. Bridging formal elegance with an approachable sports-chic demeanor, it provides entry into Holy Trinity high watchmaking without the fragile precious-metal pretense.

The Craft: Maltese Cross Architecture & In-House Calibre 2460 QCL/1

The 40mm stainless steel case displays intricate architectural detailing: each of the four lugs represents a branch of Vacheron Constantin’s emblematic Maltese cross, featuring polished chamfers contrasting against brushed flank surfaces.

The silver-toned dial is designed around a multi-layered sector layout:

  • Center & Chapter Ring: Sunburst-brushed opaline center framed by a snailed minute track.
  • Hour Track: Hand-applied white gold Arabic numerals alternating with luminescent baton indices.

Composed of 308 hand-finished components and 27 jewels, this self-winding movement features a solid 22K pink gold openworked oscillating weight sculpted in the silhouette of the Maltese cross. Adorned with circular graining on the baseplate, polished screw heads, and Geneva striping across the bridges, it beats at 28,800 vph with an approximate 40-hour power reserve.
