The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 31 (Ref. 277200) is the Oyster in its simplest form: time only, without a date. In 2020, Rolex completely revitalized the Oyster Perpetual lineup by introducing a daring palette of vibrant, Stella-inspired lacquer dials. Among them, the bright yellow dial instantly became a cult phenomenon. Now a discontinued configuration in this case size, this 31mm watch brings a burst of modern pop-art personality into Rolex's most historic watch family. It is a rare, joyful statement piece that bridges classic Swiss understatement with contemporary collector enthusiasm.

The Craft: Pure Oyster DNA

Despite its artistic flair, this reference is built with the uncompromised tool-watch rigor Rolex is famous for. The 31mm architecture is forged from solid Oystersteel, a high-performance 904L alloy highly resistant to corrosion and polished to a mirror-like sheen on the case sides and smooth bezel.

The vibrant yellow lacquer dial features applied 18K white gold indices and hands, filled with Rolex's proprietary Chromalight luminescence that glows a brilliant blue in the dark.

Beating inside is the In-house Rolex Calibre 2232, a latest-generation self-winding movement equipped with a patented Syloxi hairspring in silicon. This ensures high resistance to magnetic fields and chronometric stability, carrying Rolex's strict Superlative Chronometer certification (±2 seconds per day). The Twinlock double waterproofness system guarantees a highly dependable 100 meters (330 feet) of water resistance.
