The Omega “First Omega in Space” pays homage to one of the most important chapters in Speedmaster history: the watch worn by NASA astronaut Walter Schirra during the Mercury-Atlas 8 mission in 1962, making it the first Omega ever to reach space. This modern interpretation retains the vintage straight-lug case architecture (40mm), alpha hands, and clean dial layout that define early Speedmaster DNA, while benefiting from Omega’s advances in movement durability, finishing, and chronograph precision.
This is widely considered one of the most historically faithful Speedmaster references ever produced, bridging space history with contemporary build quality and everyday wearability.
Condition: Very good overall condition with light signs of careful wear. Presents beautifully on the wrist. The watch runs smoothly and all chronograph functions operate excellent as it is a less than 1 year old.
