The Story

The Story

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris collection traces its historic lineage directly back to 1968, when the maison launched the Memovox Polaris: a legendary mechanical alarm dive watch that defined mid-century utilitarian luxury. This contemporary 41mm Polaris Automatic (Ref. Q9008471) beautifully reinterprets that historic aquatic DNA for the modern collector. It completely avoids overhyped, integrated-bracelet design clichés to present a pure, highly articulate tool-watch architecture, establishing a sophisticated wrist presence that targets the purist who demands elite "Watchmaker of Watchmakers" pedigree.

The Craft: Layered Dial Textures & Internal Bezel Architecture

The 41mm stainless steel case displays brilliant ergonomics, pairing alternating satin-brushed profiles with mirror-polished lugs.

The black dial is an absolute masterclass in visual depth, constructed with three distinct concentric finishing zones: a sunray-brushed center, a grained middle ring hosting the applied Arabic numerals and indices, and an opaline-finished outer track. Time is adjusted via the lower crown, while the upper crown operates the signature internal rotating diving bezel, ensuring total functional security.

Beneath the dial beats the elite In-house JLC Calibre 898. This next-generation mechanical automatic winding engine is hand-finished with traditional Côtes de Genève, heat-blued screws, and a heavy openworked bi-directional dark rotor visible through a sapphire exhibition caseback. Re-engineered for rigorous modern durability, it operates with absolute chronometric precision and delivers a robust 70-hour power reserve. Backed by twin crown seals, the watch supports a professional-grade 100 meters (330 feet) of water resistance.

Condition & Ultimate Double-Strap Presentation Set

This magnificent Polaris is presented in true Mint condition, showing no notable signs of handling across its polished steel facets, and the sapphire crystal is completely immaculate. Highlighting the extreme versatility of this specific offering, the set includes BOTH original factory straps: the high-durability JLC black rubber strap for sport utility, and the original JLC black leather strap for formal attire, both fully compatible with Jaeger-LeCoultre's tool-free quick-change system.

The timepiece arrives as a True Complete Full Set, complete with its original Jaeger-LeCoultre luxury presentation boxes, technical manuals, and the original international warranty card officially stamped and dated in 2023, benefiting from JLC's active factory protection. Fully tested for timing precision and amplitude, this double-strap black Polaris 41 represents the ultimate turn-key daily sports luxury reference.
