The 40mm stainless steel case showcases the classic pre-maxi proportions that sit flat and balanced on the wrist. The original drilled lug holes anchor the solid-link 78360 Oyster bracelet, providing structural strength and vintage aesthetics.

The black gloss dial features original tritium-filled hour markers and hands that have aged to a rich, warm patina over three decades. An electric red GMT hand with an arrowhead tip tracks home or second-timezone time against the bidirectional 24-hour red-and-blue aluminum bezel insert. A date window sits at 3 o'clock under the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a 2.5x Cyclops magnification lens.

Beneath the screw-down steel caseback beats the robust Manufacture Rolex Calibre 3185. Operating at 28,800 vph with an approximate 48-hour power reserve, this movement features an independent jumping local-hour hand, allowing the wearer to adjust the time forwards or backwards in one-hour increments without stopping the seconds or minute hands—a true pilot’s complication. Supported by a Twinlock crown, the watch maintains an original depth rating of 100 meters (330 feet).
