The case features Vacheron Constantin’s signature Maltese-cross inspired bezel along with beautifully executed brushed and polished surfaces. The silver dial with guilloché center provides excellent depth while maintaining the refined yet sporty character that defines the Overseas line.
Inside beats the renowned Vacheron Constantin calibre 1137, based on the legendary Frédéric Piguet 1185 — one of the most respected automatic chronograph movements ever produced. This is a high-end integrated chronograph with a column wheel and vertical clutch, providing crisp chronograph actuation and allowing the chronograph to run continuously without additional wear.
One of the defining characteristics of the second-generation Overseas Chronograph is the large double-window date at 12 o’clock, which creates a perfectly balanced dial layout. This big-date display was discontinued when Vacheron introduced the current generation Overseas chronographs in 2016, making this configuration particularly desirable among collectors.
