A genuine Sultan of Oman commissioned IWC Yacht Club II, accompanied by the original IWC Schaffhausen Museum Extract authenticating both the watch and the rare Khanjar emblem on the dial. Delivered new on 30 April 1979 in steel and 14k yellow gold, powered by the in-house automatic Calibre 3258. One of the most coveted categories in vintage horology, the Sultan of Oman gifted watches were presented by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said to dignitaries, military officers, and close associates throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
