The IWC Ingenieur began life in 1955 as a tool watch built for scientists, engineers, and medical professionals working in magnetic environments. Its signature innovation — a soft-iron inner cage shielding the movement from magnetic interference — made it a technical marvel of its time.
But it was in 1976 that the Ingenieur took on its modern identity, when the legendary Gérald Genta redesigned it as a sleek, integrated-bracelet sports watch. Sharing the same design philosophy as his creations for the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus, the Ingenieur Ref. 1832 introduced the bold industrial aesthetic that this model continues to embody today.
This IW323906 is a modern evolution of that lineage — refined, balanced, and instantly recognizable. The 40 mm stainless-steel case showcases Genta’s geometric precision, alternating brushed and polished surfaces for depth and dimension. The silver dial is elegant yet technical, brought to life by rose-gold hour and minute hands and matching applied indices that add warmth and sophistication to the cool steel architecture.
Powering the watch is the IWC Caliber 30110, an automatic movement based on the ETA 2892-A2, offering a 42-hour power reserve and renowned reliability. The flat sapphire crystal features double-sided anti-reflective coating, while Super-LumiNova on the hands and hour markers ensures legibility in any light.
Condition: Excellent overall. Light handling wear only, no deep scratches or dents. The bracelet fits wrists up to 7.5 inches. The watch recently underwent complete overhaul and cleaning , we offer 1 year movement warranty on the watch.
